Job description

Our client based in Ringsend, Dublin is seeking to hire an experienced Engineering Manager to join their experienced team on site.

The Engineering Manager will be involved in managing the programme of works for the in-house mechanical team, which consists of fitters, fabricators, and operatives delivering work on site. The manager will also manage a programme of capital works upgrades on the site, with blocks of works being delivered by external subcontractors.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Plan and coordinate activities for the mobile engineering team on and off-site.
2. Develop detailed work plans to ensure efficient scheduling and task execution.
3. Review completed tasks, provide feedback, and identify areas for improvement.
4. Prioritize workloads based on urgency and resource availability.
5. Conduct site inspections to evaluate the condition of facilities and assets.
6. Maintain and update safety documentation to comply with Irish Water (IW) standards.
7. Ensure site drawings are updated to reflect as-built conditions during and after projects.

Job Requirements:

1. Third-level degree in an Engineering discipline.
2. Minimum of three years’ experience in an Engineering Management role.
3. Proven ability to lead and coordinate site activities independently.
4. Practical experience managing on-site operations and ensuring Health & Safety compliance.
5. Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
