Job summary

Veolia Water Ireland Limited is seeking an Engineering Intern to join the Kilkenny team. The role focuses on supporting the Technical and EICA divisions with design, project coordination and field activities related to WasteWater and Fresh Water treatment projects.

You will work under guidance from senior staff, develop core engineering skills, and gain hands-on experience in design submissions, procurement, and contract execution while maintaining high H&S standards.

Qualifications

• Studying a Mechanical Engineering Degree.
• Ability to work on own initiative and effectively manage & coordinate design/site activities.
• IT skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Power Point.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Self‑motivated.
• Strong communication and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Design: Assist in developing detailed designs and drawings using CAD/REVIT with BIM emphasis, under design engineers' guidance.
• Project: Support project engineers/managers in delivering assigned projects and coordinating with multi-discipline teams.
• Safety and Compliance: Support health, safety and environmental management, audits and incident investigations on site.
