Job summary

Veolia Ireland is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our Kilkenny team. You will lead electrical and instrumentation design projects for Water and Wastewater facilities, ensuring compliance with Irish and European standards.

With 10+ years in electrical design, you will mentor junior engineers, coordinate with clients and suppliers, and drive efficient design delivery within time and budget constraints.

Qualifications

• Qualified with Level 7 or higher in Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years experience in electrical design.
• Experience in Water and Wastewater treatment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills.
• Ability to lead and mentor others.
• Willingness to travel to site occasionally.
• EU/EEA work eligibility in Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Design and selection of instrumentation for Water/Wastewater.
• Prepare Electrical Technical Designs & Submissions.
• Design electrical distribution, lighting, fire and alarms, containment systems.
• Develop electrical panels (MCC, LCP, MDB, etc.).
• Develop automation hardware and system network architecture.
• Liaise with clients and suppliers.
