Job summary

CAE Shannon, Ireland, seeks a Team Leader for Engine Management Services to lead a dedicated team in a dynamic aviation environment. The role focuses on coordinating projects, developing staff, and delivering on time with high quality in a hybrid office setting.

You will manage workloads, mentor engineers, and collaborate with customers and stakeholders to drive improvements and business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of relevant aviation industry experience.
• Experience within engine maintenance, engine management, technical services, or related aviation discipline.
• Advanced knowledge of aviation regulations and industry practices.
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects, tasks, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong project management and organisational skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to work to deadlines while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites and business locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operational management of the Engine Management Services team.
• Support employee development through regular one-to-one meetings, coaching, mentoring, and career development discussions.
• Manage team workload, resource allocation, and leave planning.
• Assign projects and coordinate resources to support business priorities.
• Lead engine-related projects and contribute as a key member of project teams.
• Oversee projects ensuring delivery against scope, quality, cost, and timeline requirements.
• Monitor project progress and implement actions to ensure successful delivery.
• Support continuous improvement of departmental processes, procedures, and ways of working.
• Partner with department leadership to support performance management and team development initiatives.
• Apply industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout project execution.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Business Development teams to support customer retention and growth opportunities.
• Assist the Engine Management Services Operations Manager and Head of Engines in developing departmental capabilities and achieving business objectives.
• Support a culture of collaboration, customer focus, accountability, and continuous improvement.
