Job summary

Archersrath Nursing Home is seeking an Activities Coordinator to support residents in daily activities under qualified nursing staff. You will organise standard activities, maintain Life Story Books, and assist with orientation and special events while upholding residents' privacy and dignity.

The role involves coordinating daily/weekly activity programs, liaising with nursing staff, and participating in training. A compassionate, reliable individual with good English is desired.

Qualifications

• Relevant healthcare/social care qualification.
• Experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Sonas & Imagination Gym courses desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Organise and maintain daily activities including arts/crafts, baking, gardening, and more.
• Plan and implement special activities such as outings, parties, and seasonal celebrations.
• Draw up a daily and weekly activity program.
• Maintain resident activity files and Life Story Books.
• Keep nursing staff informed on each resident’s condition.
• Assist with orientation of new residents to the home.
• Attend in-service training and education programmes.
• Perform escort duties as required, possibly beyond rostered hours.
• Work in any area of the Care Centre as needed.
