Sigmar Recruitment seeks an Energy & Sustainability Project Lead for a major pharmaceutical site in Sligo. You will drive energy strategy, oversee ISO 50001 implementation and lead capital projects, delivering measurable business benefits.

The role requires a strong engineering background, 5+ years in project engineering (3+ in pharma), and excellent stakeholder engagement to ensure safe, compliant delivery of high-impact energy initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years as a Project Engineer, including 3+ years in pharma/regulated manufacturing.
• Proven track record in energy, sustainability and capital projects.
• Experience with ISO 50001, commissioning, validation and cost planning.
• Excellent communication with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead site energy management and maintain ISO 50001.
• Develop and deliver energy efficiency, sustainability and decarbonisation projects.
• Prepare robust business cases and capital expenditure requests.
• Manage projects from concept to delivery with budget control.
• Collaborate with EHS, Quality, Engineering, Finance and others.
• Report energy performance to stakeholders and leadership.
• Support global engineering and sustainability initiatives.
