Reporting: Energy Management Services Lead

Overview:

You will be responsible for delivering energy management services, implementing energy-efficient strategies and advising clients on optimising their energy usage. You will engage directly with clients, providing solutions to reduce energy costs and improve sustainability, while supporting energy-related tasks on site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and independently deliver energy management services across client sites, requiring minimal day-to-day oversight from Senior Engineers.
  • Ability to lead the energy management services for several sites and provide guidance to more junior engineers
  • Develop tailored energy management strategies, addressing clients' unique operational needs and sustainability goals.
  • Recommend energy-efficient technologies and solutions, such as HVAC, Chillers, Boilers, pumps and renewable energy integration.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to guide them through energy-saving projects, ensuring successful implementation. This will be with support from Senior Engineers where required.
  • Prepare and present reports and recommendations, explaining the potential for energy savings, return on investment (ROI), and environmental benefits.
  • Ensure compliance with energy-related regulations and support clients in achieving energy certifications such as ISO 50001.
  • Develop energy reduction target glidepaths for clients to ensure targets will be met and identify gaps where they may fall short of target
  • Ability to work under own supervision and to problem solve accordingly.
  • Knowledge and ability to develop energy flows of a site from scratch and implement an energy management system framework for new sites with support from data scientists.
  • Provide technical guidance and insights to the wider team where necessary.
  • Ability to manage time budgets for multiple projects.
  • Business development activities where required.
  • Support business continuous improvement.
  • Comply with safety and SHV training requirements.
  • Provide support to other service-line activities as required to meet client and business needs.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Energy Management, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
  • Certification in energy management or related fields is an advantage (e.g., CEA, CEM).
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in energy management, energy consulting, or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience in performing energy audits, data analysis and implementing energy saving technologies.
  • Strong understanding of industrial energy systems and sustainability practices.

  • Client Relationship Management: Ability to build strong, professional relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Strong organisational and time-management skills to oversee energy saving projects from start to finish.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to develop creative solutions to reduce energy consumption while maintaining or improving operational efficiency.
  • Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in energy management systems, technologies and standards.
  • Communication: Ability to present complex technical concepts to clients can understand and act upon.
  • Mobility: Ability to travel domestically & internationally when required. Driver's licence is a requirement.
