Job summary

Sherpa Kids is hiring an Afterschool Childcare Assistant for Christ The King in Cabra, Dublin. This part-time role supports school-aged children with supervised activities, homework help, and engaging indoor/outdoor programs after school hours.

Requirements include at least 1 year of experience with school-aged children, basic knowledge of child development, strong English skills, Garda vetting (to be completed after interview), and two written references before starting.

Qualifications

• Experience working with school-aged children (minimum 1 year).
• Basic knowledge of child development.
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
• Garda vetting is essential (completed by us after interview stage).
• At least 2 written references checks before starting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children during activities and free play.
• Assist with homework and educational tasks.
• Engage in a variety of planned activities (indoor and outdoor) each day.
• Bring lots of energy and enthusiasm to work with children.
• Assist with games, crafts, and group activities.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and inclusive environment.
