Job summary

Sherpa Kids is seeking an Afterschool Childcare Assistant for Christ The King in Cabra, Dublin. This part-time, on-site role runs 1:30pm to 6pm, Monday to Friday, with hourly compensation of EUR 15–EUR 15.75.

Garda vetting and two written references are required; English proficiency is essential. Responsibilities include supervising children, helping with homework, and leading diverse indoor/outdoor activities in a safe, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with School Aged children (Minimum 1 Year).
• Basic knowledge of child development.
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
• Garda vetting is essential (completed by us after interview stage).
• At least 2 written references checks are required before starting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children during activities and free play.
• Assist with homework and educational tasks.
• Engage in a variety of planned activities (indoor and outdoor) with the children every day.
• Show energy and enthusiasm to work with children.
• Assist with games, crafts, and group activities.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and inclusive environment.
