Job summary

Beacon Hospital in Dublin seeks an experienced Endoscopy Nurse to provide high-standard care in a busy unit. You will perform assessments, plan and evaluate nursing care, and support endoscopic procedures with technical assistance.

Requirements include NMBI Registered General Nurse, minimum 1 year post-registration and at least 6 months in endoscopy. Candidates must demonstrate teamwork, communication, and adherence to policies. Flexible roster and ongoing training supported.

Qualifications

• NMBI Registered General Nurse licence in good standing.
• Minimum 1 year post-registration experience in an acute setting.
• Minimum 6 months experience in endoscopy setting.
• Experience in GI or endoscopy procedures is advantageous.
• Ability to participate in MDT and care planning.
• Commitment to patient safety, infection control and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Endoscopy unit.
• Administer medications and treatments following physician orders.
• Document care in Meditech and patient records.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
• Participate in decontamination and traceability of endoscopes.
