TTM Healthcare Limited is seeking a Temporary Endoscopy Nurse for Mullingar Endoscopy Unit. You will provide high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopy, support safe patient flow from pre-assessment to recovery, and maintain infection control and documentation.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Nurse with the NMBI or equivalent.
• Experience in endoscopy or related acute care setting.
• Post-registration CPD in endoscopy nursing or gastroenterology (preferred).
• Evidence of ongoing professional development relevant to acute or endoscopy nursing.

Responsabilités

• Prepare endoscopy rooms, equipment and supplies per unit protocols and infection prevention standards.
• Admit, assess and prepare patients for endoscopic procedures with consent checks.
• Assist the endoscopist during procedures, including scope handling and patient monitoring.
• Provide safe recovery care post-procedure and escalate concerns promptly.
• Administer prescribed medications and sedation within scope of practice and local policies.
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical records and contribute to audits and quality improvement.
• Support decontamination and reprocessing of endoscopy equipment per guidelines.
• Collaborate with medical, nursing and administrative staff to ensure efficient patient throughput.
