UPMC Ireland is seeking a Theatre Staff Nurse to join the Endoscopy team at UPMC Aut Even Hospital in Kilkenny. This 11-month fixed-term contract offers a varied role within a busy unit.

Responsibilities include providing high-quality nursing care, preparing endoscopy equipment, ensuring patient safety, and mentoring junior staff while adhering to professional guidelines. Applicants must be registered with NMBI and hold BLS, with endoscopy experience preferred.

Formación

• Be registered in the General Division of the Register of Nurses kept by NMBI or be entitled to be so registered.
• Basic Life Support Training.
• 2 years Theatre Nursing/Endoscopy experience.
• A relevant Theatre qualification is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Practice according to the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland code and professional guidelines.
• Mentor/buddy less experienced staff and supervise ward area management.
• Prepare and maintain Endoscopy equipment and room for procedures.
• Ensure patient safety, privacy and dignity; maintain high professional standards.
