Job summary

Rainbow Community Services in Ireland is seeking a compassionate Social Care Worker to join our residential centre. You will work directly with young people, implement care plans, provide guidance, and help create a safe, nurturing home.

You will collaborate with therapists and case managers to deliver holistic care, develop crisis intervention and communication skills, and support vulnerable youth towards resilience and a brighter future.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years full-time relevant experience in social care, working with children and young people in mainstream care.
• A Bachelor's degree is required.
• Must hold a QQI Level 7 in Social Science / Social Studies / Social Care, or a related field such as Child & Adolescent Psychotherapy, Counselling, Addiction Counselling, Youth and Community, Family Support, or Applied Policing.
• Must hold a QQI Level 7 in Social Science, Social Care, Psychotherapy, Counselling, Youth and Community, Family Support, or a related discipline.
• Must be registered with CORU or in the process of registration.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must hold a Bachelor's degree.
• Must be registered with CORU or have an application in process.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with young people, providing support, guidance, and stability.
• Implement individual care plans and engage in therapeutic activities.
• Foster a positive, safe home environment and collaborate with a team of professionals.
• Coordinate with therapists and case managers to ensure holistic care for each resident.
• Develop skills in crisis intervention, therapeutic communication, and care planning.
