Job summary

KILDARE COMMUNITY KARE LIMITED in Ireland is seeking a Residential Care Worker to support young people in Pathways Ireland. You will work as part of a team to provide high-quality care, promote rights and welfare, and contribute to a safe, therapeutic environment.

You will assist in care plans, support personal development, and engage with families and community services while adhering to policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of child development, behaviour management and attachment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with report-writing ability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, maintain calm in crises.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team to provide high-quality care and support to young people.
• Promote rights, dignity and welfare of young people.
• Contribute to a safe, stable and therapeutic environment.
• Support care plans and programmes of care.
• Support development across physical, emotional, educational, social and recreational areas.
• Develop personal, interpersonal, social and problem-solving skills.
• Plan and participate in suitable activities and supervise outings.
• Engage with young people in community and family settings.
• Complete required risk assessments and maintain confidential records.
• Report accidents, incidents and other developments to management.
• Attend staff meetings, supervision and induction; follow health and safety requirements.
