Job summary

PACS Group seeks a Staff Physical Therapist Assistant to assist the Staff Physical Therapist with resident-related care and rehabilitation activities. The role requires an Associate Degree from an accredited PTA program and strong computer skills for documentation in Net Health and Point Click Care.

Responsibilities include treating residents under PT direction, maintaining safety, coordinating with the interdisciplinary team, educating residents and families, and contributing to quality

Qualifications

  • Education and/or experience: Associate Degree from an accredited PTA program.
  • Proficient in computer skills, reporting data into Net Health and Point Click Care.
  • Language: read technical procedures, read policy manuals.
  • Math: apply fractions, percentages, ratios to practical tasks.
  • Reasoning: solve problems and follow written or oral instructions.
  • Certificates: Licensed PTA; CPR certification if required.

Responsibilities

  • Treat residents as directed by Physical Therapist.
  • Document accurately and timely per policies and third parties.
  • Maintain a safe treatment environment and follow infection control.
  • Assist in training Restorative Aides and educate residents/families.
  • Communicate progress and discharge planning with PT, nursing, and team.
  • Recommend equipment to support resident mobility and safety.
  • Protect confidentiality of residents and company information.
