Aston Carter is partnering with a leading global technology company to hire an experienced HR Consultant in Dublin. The role sits within a specialist HR function focused on employee relations, performance management, investigations, and organizational change in a fast-paced, international environment.

You will advise managers, lead investigations, and collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and HR business partners across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of HR experience in Employee Relations, HR Consulting, or HR Specialist roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert guidance on complex employee relations matters.
  • Partner with managers to address performance management concerns and employee conduct issues.
  • Lead and support workplace investigations, ensuring compliance with policies and law.
  • Advise on organizational changes, restructures, workforce transitions, and sensitive matters.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Legal, Compliance, and other teams to deliver solutions.
  • Assess risks and ensure consistent application of HR policies and processes.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders across the organization at multiple levels.
  • Navigate ambiguous situations with sound judgment and confidentiality.
  • Support delivery of employee-focused solutions aligned to business objectives.

About the Role

Our client, a leading global technology company, is seeking an experienced HR Consultant to join its HR Consulting team in Dublin. This role sits within a specialist HR function that partners with managers and employees across the business to address complex people-related matters.

The team focuses on delivering expert guidance on employee relations, performance management, organizational change, workplace investigations, restructuring activities, and conflict resolution. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, global environment and enjoys solving complex people challenges while partnering with stakeholders across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert guidance and support on complex employee relations matters.
  • Partner with managers and leaders to address performance management concerns and employee conduct issues.
  • Lead and support workplace investigations, ensuring compliance with company policies and employment legislation.
  • Advise on organizational changes, restructures, workforce transitions, and sensitive employee matters.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Legal, Compliance, and other cross-functional teams to deliver effective solutions.
  • Assess risks, recommend appropriate actions, and ensure consistent application of HR policies and processes.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across multiple levels of the organization.
  • Navigate ambiguous and complex situations while exercising sound judgment and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Support the delivery of employee-focused solutions that align with business objectives and organizational values.
Required Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of HR Experience, ideally within Employee Relations, HR Consulting, or HR Specialist roles.
  • Demonstrated Experience handling complex employee relations cases from initial assessment through resolution.
  • Strong background supporting managers with:
    • Performance management
    • Employee investigations
    • Disciplinary and grievance processes
    • Organizational change initiatives
    • Restructuring and workforce management
    • Conflict resolution
  • Experience working within a large, matrixed, multinational organization.
  • Proven ability to influence and partner effectively with managers, employees, and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of employment legislation and HR best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience supporting employees and managers across multiple EMEA locations.
  • Knowledge of Irish Employment Law.
  • Knowledge of UK Employment Law.
  • Experience within a global technology or multinational corporate environment.
  • Previous Experience in Employee Relations Specialist, HR Consultant, HR Advisor, People Consultant, or HR Business Support roles.
