Job summary

Arup in Ireland is seeking a Graduate Roads & Streets Engineer to help create safer, more sustainable transport networks across Ireland and beyond.

You'll work with industry-leading specialists on road, street, active travel and public transport projects, contributing to planning, design and delivery while learning from multidisciplinary teams.

The role develops technical design skills, collaborates with engineers, planners and contractors, and supports health, safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Structural Engineering, Civil & Environmental Engineering, Sustainable Infrastructure Engineering or Engineering with a Transportation/Highways specialism.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities and a proactive learning mindset.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of technical designs, drawings, reports and specifications.
• Support the design of road alignments, streetscapes, active travel facilities and drainage infrastructure.
• Contribute to research and the development of transport design standards and guidance.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant legislation, standards and quality requirements.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to successfully deliver projects.
• Support project delivery while maintaining high standards of health, safety and technical excellence.
