Job summary

Atlantic Aviation Group seeks an EMEA Senior Financial Accountant in Galway to manage European entities with autonomy, a focus on statutory accounting, close processes, and audit coordination. The role offers hybrid work and a strong benefits package.

You will report to the European Finance Director, handle two European entities, and partner with IT, Marketing, and Operations leaders to forecast spend before it affects the books.

Qualifications

• 8–15 years of statutory accounting experience.
• Experience with month-end and quarter-end close.
• Experience in a multinational or shared services finance centre.
• ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent qualification.
• Strong stakeholder management across IT, Marketing, Facilities and Sales.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and quarter-end close activities for your entities, supported by a CoE team who prepare and complete AP, AR and basic journal entries.
• Create a narrative for variances to budget monthly.
• Develop relationships with operations leaders to anticipate spend and revenue before it hits the P&L or Balance Sheet.
• Work with a Big 4 firm to prepare financial statements at year-end and manage external audit.
• Lead process improvements using Oracle ERP and build out finance centre of excellence processes.
• Collaborate with an accounting firm for tax returns including VAT and corporation tax.
