Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Regional Environmental Manager for the EMEA region to lead the environmental team supporting AWS data center operations. You will oversee site selection, permitting, and ongoing regulatory compliance across multiple countries, ensuring alignment with global standards and Amazon policies.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of multi-site environmental due diligence, permitting, and compliance experience in EMEA.
• 10+ years delivering Phase I and Phase II ESAs, site investigations, and brownfield development in EMEA.
• Proven leadership experience managing geographically distributed environmental teams.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage Regional Environmental Managers and Regional Environmental Engineers across the EMEA region.
• Oversee environmental permitting, site due diligence, and regulatory compliance for data center development.
• Lead strategy, policy, and program management to improve regional environmental performance and risk management.
• Coordinate with Real Estate, Legal, Risk, Design, and Construction teams to deliver compliant data center infrastructure.
• Engage regulators and external stakeholders to support approvals and environmental programs.
• Provide thought leadership on regional and global environmental strategy within Amazon’s Global Environmental organization.
