Job summary

MongoDB is seeking an experienced Senior Manager, EMEA Payroll to lead payroll operations across the region. You will oversee a regional team, coordinate with People, Finance, and vendors, and ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll delivery across multiple countries including Ireland and the UK.

You will partner with HRIS, Legal, and benefits providers to support employee experience and scalable payroll operations, while driving process standardization and internal controls in a hybrid

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading end-to-end payroll across multiple EMEA countries.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processing, taxes, statutory reporting, and benefits.
• Proven ability to mentor and develop direct reports and cross-functional partners.
• Experience managing external payroll vendors and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of payroll controls, reconciliations, and internal control concepts.
• Ability to identify risks, close control gaps, and implement scalable solutions.
• Experience in a public company or SOX-controlled environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end payroll operations across multiple EMEA countries (incl. Ireland).
• Ensure accurate monthly payroll processing for base pay, bonuses, equity, taxes, and deductions.
• Mentor and develop a regional payroll team and manage workload and priorities.
• Serve as regional payroll SME and escalation point for payroll matters in EMEA.
• Manage relationships with external payroll vendors, HRIS partners, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor vendor performance, service delivery, and issue resolution to meet payroll obligations.
• Maintain strong in-region regulatory compliance and payroll controls and documentation.
• Support payroll accounting, accruals, journals, and reconciliations with Finance.
