Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Senior Manager, EMEA Payroll to lead payroll operations across the EMEA region from a Dublin or Cork base. This role oversees monthly payroll processing, statutory compliance, and relationship management with external vendors to ensure accurate, timely employee compensation.

• Significant experience managing end-to-end payroll operations across multiple EMEA countries.
• Strong international payroll knowledge including taxes, reporting, and compliance.
• Proven experience mentoring direct reports.
• Experience managing external payroll vendors and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of payroll controls, reconciliations, and internal controls.
• Ability to assess risk and implement scalable solutions.
• Knowledge of payroll accounting principles and financial statement impact.
• Experience using payroll KPIs, dashboards, or reporting to drive improvement.
• Strong communication skills with internal teams, advisors, and senior stakeholders.
• Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and able to handle competing priorities.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and changing regional payroll matters.
• Customer-service mindset with focus on employee experience.
• Experience in a public company or SOX-controlled environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end payroll operations across multiple EMEA countries.
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly payroll processing and related payments.
• Manage, mentor, and develop a regional payroll team.
• Serve as the regional payroll SME and escalation point for EMEA.
• Manage relationships with external payroll vendors, HRIS, and benefits providers.
• Monitor vendor performance, service delivery, and issue resolution.
• Ensure compliance with local payroll tax, reporting, and employment regulations.
• Maintain controls, reconciliations, and documentation for audits.
• Partner with Finance to support payroll accounting and journal entries.
• Support payroll projects including standardization and country implementations.
• Monitor KPIs, metrics, service levels, risks, and process improvements.
• Drive continuous improvement for accuracy, compliance, and scalability.
• Support expansion into additional EMEA countries as the business grows.
