Job summary

European Tech Recruit is seeking an Embedded Senior Software Engineer - Storage to join our Core Peripherals Storage team in Cork, Ireland. You will design and develop storage drivers, contribute to UEFI, Windows HLOS, Linux user space, and filesystem work for next-generation SoCs.

You will work across the storage stack, optimize performance and power, debug kernel and user-space issues, build image creation and validation tools, and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Linux

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience in embedded software development.
• Expertise in Linux kernel, device drivers, and kernel internals.
• Experience with filesystems (e.g. EXT4, F2FS, EROFS) is desirable.
• Strong debugging skills (kernel and user space; JTAG/ICE preferred).
• Solid understanding of RTOS and embedded systems concepts.
• Familiarity with ARM architecture is advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skill.

Embedded Senior Software Engineer - Storage

Overview

Join our Core Peripherals Storage team, developing cutting-edge storage solutions for next-generation SoCs. You’ll work across the storage stack, supporting advanced flash technologies such as UFS, NVMe, SD Express, eMMC, NAND, and NOR.

Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design and develop storage drivers and software modules spanning bootloaders, UEFI, Windows HLOS, and Linux user space. You’ll also contribute to filesystem development, storage tools, and validation frameworks used in both development and production environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain storage drivers and proprietary filesystem modules
