Job summary

ResourceKraft is seeking an embedded firmware and systems engineer to join its team. You will develop and integrate firmware for microcontroller-based hardware, work across software and hardware topics, and support field deployments including outdoor environments. The role requires hands-on lab work and occasional travel in Ireland.

The ideal candidate has experience with STM32, PIC24, ESP32 or similar, strong Linux skills, and comfort working in office, lab, and outdoor settings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of embedded firmware experience.
• Experience with microcontrollers (STM32, PIC24, ESP32 or similar).
• Strong Linux and hardware integration skills.
• Familiarity with RS485, Modbus, CAN, Ethernet, cellular or wireless interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate and test firmware for embedded hardware platforms.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define software features and hardware decisions.
• Perform hardware bring-up, debugging and diagnostics.
• Lead or assist with field deployments and customer-site commissioning.
• Travel within Ireland for on-site deployments and support.
