Job summary

RED Engineering Design seeks an Electrical Technical Director to lead the electrical engineering team in Ireland, based in Dublin or Cork. You will drive technical excellence across building services, manage projects, and mentor engineers to deliver robust, compliant designs.

The role requires Chartered Engineer status or MCIBSE/MIEE, extensive international project experience, and strong knowledge of Irish standards; you will work closely with clients and senior staff to realise zero-carbon

Qualifications

• BSc/BEng in engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
• Chartered Engineer status or MCIBSE/MIEE with relevant experience.
• Experience managing projects abroad is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of Irish regulations and health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the electrical design team in Ireland.
• Direct project services design, coordination, and budgeting.
• Conduct feasibility studies and prepare project fee proposals.
• Liaise with clients and project teams to define requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Irish standards and industry regulations.
• Mentor junior engineers and manage client relations.
