Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Electrical QA/QC Lead to drive the quality strategy for the Data Centre Business Unit in Ireland. You will lead project QA/QC teams, develop Quality Plans and ITPs, and ensure adherence to electrical installation standards across multiple large-scale projects.

You will monitor NCRs and defects, guide testing, energisation and handover activities, and coach engineers while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

Strong experience in Electrical QA/QC, Quality Management or Electrical Construction.
Experience within data centres, mission-critical, M&E, pharmaceutical, semiconductor or large-scale engineering projects.
Strong technical understanding of electrical systems, installation and inspection requirements.
Experience developing and managing Quality Plans and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
Strong understanding of NCR, defect and corrective-action management.
Experience supporting testing, energisation, commissioning and project handover.
Previous experience leading or supporting electrical QA/QC teams.

Responsibilities

Lead the electrical QA/QC strategy for the Data Centre Business Unit.
Provide direction to project-based Electrical QA/QC teams.
Ensure consistent electrical quality standards across projects.
Monitor performance through audits, inspections, KPIs and project reviews.
Support project teams through construction planning, installation, testing, commissioning and handover.
Oversee Quality Plans, ITPs, inspection records and electrical quality documentation.
Monitor NCRs, defects, rework and corrective actions, ensuring effective and timely close-out.
Drive right-first-time delivery and continuous improvement.
Support electrical completion, system turnover, energisation and commissioning readiness.
Identify recurring quality issues and ensure lessons learned are shared across the Business Unit.
Support client audits, inspections and quality reviews.
Coach and develop Electrical QA Leads, Engineers and Inspectors.
Support supplier and subcontractor quality performance.
Hold project teams accountable for quality performance and close-out.
Escalate significant or recurring quality risks to Business Unit leadership.

Requirements

A qualification in Electrical Engineering, Quality Management or a related discipline would be advantageous
Strong experience in Electrical QA/QC, Quality Management or Electrical Construction
Experience within data centres, mission-critical, M&E, pharmaceutical, semiconductor or large-scale engineering projects
Strong technical understanding of electrical systems, installation and inspection requirements
Experience developing and managing Quality Plans and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
Strong understanding of NCR, defect and corrective-action management
Experience supporting testing, energisation, commissioning and project handover
Previous experience leading or supporting electrical QA/QC teams
Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder-management capability
Ability to influence project and operational leadership
Willingness to travel regularly across Designer Group projects
Knowledge of HV and LV electrical systems
