Job summary

Dornan Engineering in Athlone is seeking an Electrical QA / QC Inspector to join our pharmaceutical project team. You will conduct routine inspections to verify installation quality and compliance, and take ownership of the snagging process through site walkdowns and observations.

You will review installations, sign off the FOAK process to ensure quality from the outset, manage drawings and turnover documentation, and lead QA activities through turnover and handover to support project success.

Qualifications

• Electrical qualifications or degree required.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems.
• Pharma data centre experience preferable.
• QA/QC, inspection, turnover, commissioning, or construction quality management experience.
• Understanding of drawings, specifications, quality procedures and testing.
• Excellent attention to detail and issue resolution.
• Strong document management and organisational skills.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management.
• Proficiency in MS Office and electronic document management systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections to verify quality and compliance of installations.
• Take ownership of the snagging process through scheduled walkdowns and site observations.
• Review and assess installations to ensure client walkdowns are completed with minimal snags.
• Manage and sign off the FOAK process to ensure quality from the outset.
• Maintain control and distribution of drawings, schedules, specifications and related documents.
• Act as the QA lead for allocated turnover scope through completion, inspection, testing and handover.
• Participate in the Quality Surveillance Programme to monitor installation quality and compliance.
• Compile and manage turnover packages with complete quality documentation.
