Job summary

Murphy’s Electrical Services Division is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager for multiple projects across Kildare and Dublin. You will steer full electrical scopes, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery while managing budgets and stakeholders.

You will coordinate design through commissioning, including M&E interfaces, material procurement, and documentation, with a strong emphasis on leadership and client relationship management to progress toward Contracts Manager level.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years experience delivering electrical projects.
• Experience coordinating large electrical installation projects.
• Strong budget, labour and schedule management.
• Solid understanding of EHS/SHESQ regulations in construction.
• Proficient with MS Project and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage full Electrical Contract scope from design to final handover.
• Ensure delivery safe, on time, and within budget and quality standards.
• Lead large installation projects, planning labour, materials, and subcontractors.
• Maintain compliance with EHS/Quality regulations (Safe Electric, IS10101:2020, ET&V).
• Develop construction plans, PQP, ITP, and overall construction programme.
• Oversee procurement of materials and subcontractors within budgets.
• Coordinate M&E services with other trades for integrated delivery.
• Build client relationships, lead meetings with stakeholders.
• Monitor progress on safety, quality, schedule and cost; target profit margins.
• Manage testing and commissioning schedules (LOTO, test packs, O&M).
• Maintain high workmanship & quality on site and feed leads for growth.

The Electrical Services Division in Murphy is recruiting an experienced Electrical Project Manager for multiple projects across the business in both Kildare and Dublin.

What You Will Be Doing

• Managing the full Electrical Contract scope, including design, pre-construction, construction, inspection, testing, commissioning, and final handover.
• Ensuring all works are delivered safely, on time, to the required quality standards, and within agreed financial outcomes.
• Leading, coordinating, and driving large installation projects, including planning labour, materials, plant, and specialist subcontractors.
• Ensuring full compliance with EHS, Quality, and industry regulations (Safe Electric, IS10101:2020, ET&V processes).
• Developing and managing construction plans, project quality plans (PQP), inspection & test plans (ITP), and the overall construction programme including commissioning activities.
• Managing technical submittals, RFIs, and documentation in line with contract requirements.
• Overseeing procurement of materials, equipment, subcontractors, and managing direct/indirect labour within project budgets.
• Coordinating M&E services and buildability with other trade contractors to ensure integrated project delivery.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships, leading meetings, and liaising with all project stakeholders.
• Monitoring and reporting progress across safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives, ensuring agreed profit margins are achieved.
• Managing testing and commissioning schedules, including LOTO controls, test packs, and O&M manual delivery.
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and quality on site.
• Supporting business development by feeding back potential leads and demonstrating readiness to progress toward Contracts Manager level.

Who We Are Looking For

• An experienced Project Manager with 5-7 years experience in electrical projects, ideally with a recognised electrical trade background or relevant third-level qualification.
• A proven track record in coordinating and delivering large electrical installation projects, including complex electrical services and design-and-build environments.
• Strong capability in labour, cost, and budget management, with solid commercial awareness.
• Excellent understanding and application of EHS/SHESQ regulations, ensuring safety and quality standards are upheld at all times.
• Strong working knowledge of electrical building services systems, including fire alarm, emergency lighting, LV/MV distribution, comms, and security.
• Proficient in MS Project, Excel, and other relevant software, with strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Able to lead and drive large-scale projects, work effectively under strict deadlines, and demonstrate strong communication and leadership skills.
• Customer-focused, professional, and capable of building strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
• Experience in heavy industrial or commercial projects is highly desirable.
• Additional experience or qualifications in ATEX/Compex, or exposure to gas and water treatment (process/automation) projects, is a distinct advantage.
