Job summary

EDC Engineers in Ireland is seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer to lead and mentor a design team across all project stages. You will own electrical design from concept to construction, coordinate with mechanical and BIM teams, and ensure delivery on time and to standards.

The role requires a degree in electrical engineering, 6+ years in building services consultancy, and strong leadership. A track record in client liaison, cost awareness, and embracing new technologies is essential to

Qualifications

• Minimum degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 6+ years Building Services Consultancy Design experience.
• Expert user of Microsoft Office.
• Experience with thermal modelling, energy assessment, dynamic energy modelling software advantageous.
• Commercial sector knowledge and BIM experience a strong advantage.
• Chartership desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of Electrical and Mechanical projects across all stages, owning programme, quality, coordination and outcomes.
• Oversee electrical design work from concept to construction, ensuring technical excellence.
• Manage the design process to meet project requirements, programme and standards.
• Provide leadership to project teams and ensure accountability and performance.
• Manage resources, workload, and budget considerations for projects.
• Lead client discussions, manage expectations and develop strong client relationships.
