Job summary

Mercury in Dublin is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our established team. You will produce competitive tenders and detailed estimates for pre-design or D&B projects, working within a mechanical & electrical group to support bids.

The role requires 3–5+ years estimating experience, strong numeracy, and proficiency with estimating software. You will report to management on market trends and supplier quotes, and engage with sub-contractors to ensure compliance with

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years estimating experience
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Highly numerate
• Understand methods of measurement and the concept of cost/valuation reconciliations
• Computer literacy in relevant estimating packages
• A previous trades or engineering background (Desirable)
• Fire Alarm experience preferred (Desirable)

Responsibilities

• As part of an established team, produce competitive tenders/detailed estimates for pre-design or D&B projects
• Advise managers on bid prospects
• Attend pre- and post-tender interviews
• Comply with specialist sub-contract quotes
• Ensure sub-contractor quotes comply with specification
• Complete take-offs from tender drawings
• Report to management on competitor activity, market trends and dynamics
