Job summary

Jones Engineering in Maynooth is seeking an Electrical Estimator to join our project development team. You will work with the Estimating Manager and a multidisciplinary group to deliver cutting-edge projects, with a base in our Maynooth Office.

The role requires a Degree in Engineering, 5+ years in estimating and experience with high-value tenders, plus proficiency in MS Office and estimating software such as Trimble. Data centre project experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in relevant Engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of estimating experience with high value tendering.
• Experience with data centre projects advantageous.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience using Trimble or similar estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Tendering on a variety of large-scale projects in a variety of industries.
• Involved in full tender process from beginning to completion.
• Liaising with relevant parties on an on-going basis.
• Informing managers of bid prospects.
• Attending pre and post tender interviews.
• Assemble sub-contract quotes while ensuring they comply with the spec.
• Attend meetings both internal and client based where required.
• Completing take-offs from tender drawings.
