Zusammenfassung

WSP in Ireland is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Energy team, with roles available in Dublin, Naas or Belfast. You will work within a multidisciplinary group delivering power transmission infrastructure critical to Net Zero goals.

You will lead electrical deliverables, collaborate with civil, cables and primary teams, and participate in design reviews, site inspections and commissioning to ensure safe, compliant, timely project delivery.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Electrical Engineering with significant post-graduate experience in electrical design, operation, maintenance or testing.
• Chartered Engineer or working towards IEng/CEng and a member of a relevant Engineering Institute.
• Ability and desire to lead the development of electrical deliverables or asset assessment.
• Knowledge of design, construction and operation of power/energy projects.
• Knowledge of national and international codes/standards in the Power sector.
• Experience with electrical CAD design software packages.
• Experience working with clients and contractors with diverse objectives.
• Willingness to travel as projects dictate.
• Strong understanding of HS requirements and designer responsibilities under regulations.

Aufgaben

• Act as a technical authority across protection and control engineering and multidisciplinary integration.
• Deliver projects through Feasibility Studies, Concept Designs, FEED and Detailed Design.
• Prepare electrical deliverables and BOMs, including SLDs and plant layouts.
• Develop proposals and bids for EC&I discipline and multidisciplinary work.
• Conduct Owner’s Engineer/Client-side design reviews for compliance and standards.
• Identify and mitigate health and safety risks in designs.
• Lead design reviews and workshops with clients and stakeholders.
• Support delivery through site visits, construction oversight and commissioning.
• Ensure drawings and specifications are accurate and timely.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, designers and contractors.
