Job summary

NeoDyne is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Power Generation & Energy Systems team in Galway. The role is full-time in our Galway Office, offering training and a competitive salary and benefits package.

You will work on high-availability automation, power plants, and renewables projects, collaborating with a skilled team to deliver robust electrical solutions across critical industries.

Qualifications

  • Level 8 degree in Electrical, Energy Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in electrical engineering.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and EPLAN or similar software.
  • Knowledge of process instrumentation and wiring; training provided for renewables.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Produce drawings, wiring schematics, lists and data sheets using AutoCAD and EPLAN.
  • Design electrical control systems and instrumentation for power generation.
  • Oversee installation of control systems and instrumentation equipment.
  • Collaborate with technicians and contractors to ensure proper implementation.
  • Perform Factory and Site Acceptance Testing and field commissioning.

Electrical Engineer- Power Generation & Energy Systems (Galway)
Position Summary

NeoDyne are recruiting a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our expanding Power Generation & Energy Systems team. Experience with Peaking, CCGT, CHP Plants or Embedded Renewables would be highly desirable but not essential as we will provide full training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing detailed schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Producing drawings, wiring schematics, lists and data sheets using AutoCAD and EPLAN.
  • Designing electrical control systems and instrumentation for power generation and energy systems.
  • Overseeing the installation of control systems and instrumentation equipment.
  • Collaborating with technicians and contractors to ensure proper implementation.
  • Undertaking Factory and Site Acceptance Testing.
  • Commissioning activities in the field.
Experience & Skills
Required
  • Level 8 Degree in Electrical, Energy Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 3+ years' experience in electrical engineering.
  • Experience using: AutoCAD and EPLAN or similar software.
  • Knowledge of process instrumentation and wiring.
  • Experience with Peaking, CCGT, CHP Plants or Embedded Renewables would be highly desirable but not essential as we will provide full training.
