Job summary

Tandem Project Management Ltd. is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support a range of projects in the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical and medical device sectors in Cork, Ireland.

The role involves detailed design, cost estimation, site surveys, and coordination with stakeholders across design, procurement and commissioning phases. You will contribute to schedules, safety culture, and continuous improvement while reviewing design packages and coordinating tender inquiries with consultants,

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar.
• Working knowledge of CAD is a distinct advantage.
• Minimum 3 years’ post graduate experience in project delivery in a medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
• Technical knowledge of MV and LV power infrastructure, Building Management Systems (BMS), data and IT infrastructure.
• Project planning, design, cost control.
• Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders, contractors and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of projects including detailed design, scope issue, field construction and commissioning through handover.
• Preparation of cost estimates for clients including timelines and justifications.
• Carry out site surveys.
• Design of areas such as lighting, small power, fire alarms, LV distribution and cable sizing.
• Assist with project schedules and monitor progress, ensuring critical path is maintained and mitigation plans are implemented.
• Help develop a safety culture and drive continuous improvement and best-in-class standards.
• Generate User Requirements Specifications with stakeholders.
• Review design packages from consultants.
• Issue tender enquiries for consultants, contractors and vendors.
• Interface with project management and project engineers during design, execution and start-up phases.
• Support field installation and commissioning of larger projects.
