Job summary

Navartis Ltd is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the project team in Co. Kildare. This role supports a major brewery project valued at approximately €400 million, focusing on the electrical package delivery from design through handover.

You will work with senior engineers, project managers, design teams and subcontractors to review drawings, coordinate across disciplines and ensure timely submittals and compliance with Irish standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years of electrical engineering or building services experience.
• Knowledge of electrical systems in building services and compliance with standards.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications and schedules to support project requirements.
• Assist in review of construction drawings and technical documentation.
• Prepare RFIs and technical queries for client or design team.
• Review supplier packages against project specification and standards.
• Prepare and track technical submittals for client approval.
• Coordinate procurement schedules with the procurement team.
• Utilise design tools such as Dialux, Relux, Amtech ProDesign, Navisworks or similar.
• Assist with BCAR inspection requirements and coordinate with quality team.
• Support LEED and BREEAM submittals where applicable.
• Prepare operation and maintenance manuals and handover documentation.
• Attend client demonstrations, inspections and commissioning activities.

Job description

We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our project team in Co. Kildare. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a major, €400mln brewery project and play a key role in the successful delivery of the electrical package.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Assist with the review of drawings, specifications and schedules to support compliance with project requirements, applicable standards and industry guidance.
• Support the review of coordinated construction drawings and technical documentation.
• Assist in the preparation of RFIs and technical queries for issue to the client, design team or consultants.
• Support the review of specialist supplier packages against the project specification and relevant standards.
• Assist with the preparation and tracking of technical submittals for client approval.
• Support the preparation and monitoring of procurement schedules in conjunction with the procurement team.
• Use engineering software tools such as Dialux, Relux, Amtech ProDesign, Navisworks or similar packages where required.
• Assist with the review of BCAR inspection requirements and coordinate with the quality team as needed.
• Support the tracking of LEED and BREEAM requirements and associated submittals where applicable.
• Assist with the preparation of operation and maintenance manuals and project handover documentation.
• Attend client demonstrations, inspections and commissioning activities as required.
• Provide technical support to the project team during construction, commissioning and handover.
• Work closely with senior engineers, project managers, design teams, subcontractors and suppliers to support the successful delivery of the electrical package.

Requirements

• A Level 7 Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Services Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2–4 years' experience in electrical engineering, electrical project engineering, building services, or a similar role.
• Good understanding of electrical systems from a design, construction, or installation perspective.
• Knowledge of electrical services such as power distribution, lighting, containment, fire alarm, emergency lighting, and general building services systems.
• Ability to support project teams with technical queries, design coordination, site issues, submittals, inspections, and handover documentation.
• Capable of working as part of a project team, taking direction from senior engineers, project managers, design teams, and site teams.
• Good knowledge of relevant Irish electrical, fire alarm, and emergency lighting standards, or a willingness to develop this knowledge.
• Knowledge of engineering software such as Dialux, Relux, Amtech, Navisworks, AutoCAD, or similar packages is desirable but not essential.
• Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
