Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Electrical Associate Director for its Data Centre Market Sector in the UK/EMEA region. You will lead a team of electrical experts, drive technical excellence, and shape strategy while delivering resilient, low-carbon data centre designs for global clients.

You will mentor engineers, manage complex multi-site projects, and collaborate with global colleagues to win work and ensure project success across feasibility through commissioning.

Qualifications

• Hyperscale and/or multi-site program experience.
• Delivery of electrical project work across data centres and mission critical environments.
• Proven experience leading DC project streams in UK and across EMEA.
• Demonstrated client-facing and business development capabilities.
• Excellent team leadership and staff development skills.

Responsibilities

• Own electrical design across feasibility to handover including procurement support and commissioning.
• Define power architectures including UPS, switchgear, gensets, and PDU layouts.
• Lead power systems studies and protection design with ETAP/SKM.
• Integrate monitoring and controls (BMS/EPMS/SCADA) and metering strategies.
• Embed decarbonisation and energy efficiency measures in designs.
• Ensure compliance with IEC/BS/EN, NEC/NFPA and client specs.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary interfaces to deliver integrated designs.
