Job summary

AECOM Corporation in London Aldgate is seeking a chartered Principal Electrical Engineer for data centre projects. You will lead electrical scopes, manage projects, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across a growing global practice.

The role requires hands-on design, client liaison, and site supervision, with travel across the region and beyond. Proficiency with ETAP, Relux/Dialux, MS Project, AutoCAD and Revit is essential, as is a full driving licence and

Qualifications

Chartered Electrical Engineer with data centre focus.
Experience leading electrical scopes on complex projects.
Proficient with ETAP, Relux/Dialux, MS Project, AutoCAD and Revit.

Responsibilities

Project planning and management.
Provide specialised technical input to studies and design for staff's area of expertise.
Preparation of contract documentation and specifications.
Estimating and cost control on projects.
Manage workload and meet deadlines on tasks.
Compiling technical project reports.
A self-starter who can use initiative and solve problems.
Present technical solutions to clients and peers.
Participate in development of technical proposals.
Attend design team and coordination meetings as required.
Attend site inspection meetings as required.
Liaise with clients, professional organizations, contractors, suppliers and sub-contractors.
Mentoring and development of junior and intermediate engineers.
