Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Mechanical Associate Director in Dublin to lead delivery in our Technology/Data Centres sector and act as an ambassador in the EMEA data centre community. We require an experienced leader with a strong mechanical delivery track record.

The ideal candidate will have a degree, be a Chartered Engineer, and possess strong leadership and communication skills. The position offers a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) with CIBSE or equivalent institute.
• Strong career background in the delivery of mechanical project work across data centres.
• Demonstrable client-facing and work-winning experience.
• Excellent team leadership and development capability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong financial understanding of projects.

We are searching for a Mechanical Associate Director to lead delivery across our Technology/Data Centres sector and act as an ambassador within the EMEA data centre community and across AECOM globally.

Due to the continued successful growth and expansion of our Technology / Data Centre Sector, we are looking for an experienced leader, Mechanical Associate Director with a proven track record in Mechanical project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Drive technical delivery excellence for hyperscale and co‑location clients, strengthen client relationships and support growth through work‑winning and thought leadership.
• Serve as an ambassador for the data‑centre community externally across EMEA and internally within AECOM Europe and globally.
• Lead DC project workstreams in the UK and preferably across EMEA.
• Apply detailed mechanical design knowledge, engineering practices, techniques and procedures for data centres and interface with clients.
• Manage project financials.
