Job summary

Fingleton White seeks an Electrical Design Engineer to join the Energy, Utilities and Renewables design team in Portlaoise. You will work under senior engineers to develop electrical systems, gain broad experience across projects, and contribute to power and control solutions for energy networks.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree (Hons Bachelor or higher) in Electrical, Energy Systems or similar discipline
• 2–4 years post‑graduate experience
• Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Good academic record
• Full clean driving license and own transport required
• Fluent written and spoken English is essential
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Design and Development: assist senior engineers with designing new electrical systems or components
• Testing and Analysis: conduct tests and analyse data to meet safety and performance standards
• Project Management: assist with reports, schedules and cost estimates
• Automation and Controls: design and implement control systems
• Power Systems: contribute to generation, transmission or distribution projects
• Renewable Energy: participate in renewable energy projects and implementation
