Job summary

Fingleton White is seeking a Civil Project Design Engineer to join our Portlaoise team. You will work on a broad range of design and project delivery activities across renewables, gas, water and utilities, under senior guidance, with growth opportunities as you progress.

The role emphasizes civil design, statutory compliance and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, with a path toward Chartered Engineer status as part of our CPD framework.

Qualifications

• Civil engineering degree (honours bachelor’s degree or higher).
• 5+ years post-graduate and relevant design experience.
• Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Good academic record.
• Full clean driving license and own transport required.
• Fluent written and spoken English is essential.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Design of projects from conceptual phase through to project completion e.g., energy projects including renewables, pipelines and installations (gas, oil, water or wastewater), industrial buildings & utilities.
• Statutory requirements for new developments such as planning, fire cert and DAC applications, IPC license requirements.
• Building Control compliance and design in accordance with building regulations.
• Design of new and modifications to existing gas and water installations.
• Design requirements for energy projects such as Solar, Hydro, CHP and Power Stations.
• Design of other energy infrastructure related projects.
