Job summary

SSA Group, a leading Irish M&E contractor, seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to join the Central Engineering Design division on data centre projects in Ireland and Europe. The role starts five days office-based until probation, then hybrid with 3 days in the office and 2 days WFH.

The role requires coordinating design teams, developing scopes, managing packages and ensuring compliance with standards. Excellent knowledge of BIM and Revit is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years post graduate experience in Industrial, Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences or Data Centre sectors.
• Design, technical and construction knowledge is essential for this role.
• Experience in leading meetings and coordinating other team members.
• Strong working knowledge of design and analysis software such as BIM, Revit.
• Clean driving licence is essential.
• Candidates must hold full Irish working rights / EU citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Electrical design teams, engineers, consultants, subcontractors and site teams.
• Develop project scopes, design deliverables, responsibility matrices and design delivery schedules.
• Manage design packages, approvals, procurement requirements and construction interfaces.
• Ensure Electrical designs comply with project, client and country-specific standards.
• Review designs for accuracy, constructability, value engineering and off-site manufacturing opportunities.
• Identify and manage design risks, changes, RFIs, interfaces and scope gaps throughout the project.
• Maintain project documentation, registers, reports and handover packs while supporting sustainability and continuous improvement.
