Job summary

Jones Engineering Group is seeking a BIM Detailer to support project development across mechanical, electrical and building information modelling workflows. You will work with Project Team Leads and engineers to deliver accurate 3D BIM models and constructable drawings using Revit and Navisworks.

The role offers opportunities to develop skills in clash detection, coordination with architects and other disciplines, and progression within a world-class engineering contractor.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in a similar BIM detailer role.
• Proficiency in BIM software, especially Revit and Navisworks.

Job Description:

As a BIM Detailer, you will play a pivotal role in our project development and implementation process, working closely with the Project Team Leads, Engineering, Construction team and industry experts to deliver cutting-edge projects.

Role and Responsibilities will include:

• Model Development:Create detailed 3D BIM models of Electrical systems, using an array of Autodesk Products along with the latest Point Cloud Technology and full support methodology, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Co-ordination:Work within an experienced BIM team liaising with architects / engineers, and other disciplines, ensuring seamless integration of all systems within the BIM model.
• Clash Detection:Utilise software likeNavisworks Manageto identify and resolve clashes between electrical systems and other building components before construction.
• Documentation:Prepare 3D models to produce 2D design drawings, shop drawings,based on the accurate and fully constructable BIM models.
• BIM Standards & Compliance:Ensure that all modelling activities adhere to project-specific BIM requirements, industry standards, and the project's BIM Execution Plan (BEP).

To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:

• Technical Proficiency:Proficiency in BIM software, in particular Revit and Navisworks.
• 1 year minimum in a similar position.
• Collaboration Skills:Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Problem-Solving Abilities:Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve technical challenges and design conflicts.
• BIM Workflow Understanding:Knowledge of BIM workflows, content standards, and the ability to apply them to projects
• Teamwork:Working effectively with diverse teams, including architects, structural engineers, and project managers, is fundamental in a collaborative BIM environment.
• Interpersonal Skills:Strong interpersonal skills, including active listening and constructive conflict resolution, help foster positive working relationships.
