Job summary

MH Engineering, part of MTM Group, is a specialist mechanical engineering contractor based in Clonmel, Ireland. We provide mechanical engineering solutions across construction and mission-critical projects.

As EHS Manager, you will report to the Group HSEQ Director and MH Engineering Managing Director to drive environmental, health and safety excellence across construction operations, developing and improving policies, systems and practices to support safe, compliant project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related discipline or a Level 5/6 EHS qualification.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong knowledge of environmental, health and safety legislation and best practices.
• Experience conducting audits and investigations and implementing corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of environmental, health and safety strategies across all construction activities.
• Develop, maintain and enhance Safety Management Systems in line with legal and company requirements.
• Undertake periodic site visits across Ireland and Europe to support project teams, conduct EHS audits and inspections.
• Provide expert guidance and coaching to senior management and project teams on EHS matters.
• Monitor EHS performance through metrics and KPIs, driving improvement initiatives and best practice.
• Lead investigations, corrective actions and reporting relating to EHS incidents, audits and inspections.
• Coordinate EHS training programmes to meet regulatory requirements and improve workforce awareness.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support EHS objectives.
• Mentor and support EHS Advisors, promoting professional development and high performance.
• Support the company's strategic growth plans through proactive EHS planning and leadership.
