Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is seeking an EHS & Facilities Manager for a Westmeath manufacturing site. You will lead the EHS and Facilities teams, drive ISO 45001 compliance, and partner with Production, Engineering and Quality to improve safety and operational performance.

The role emphasizes building safety ownership among site leaders, incident investigations, audits, and environmental/energy management system support. Onsite role in Westmeath.

Qualifications

• Strong EHS/Health & Safety experience within manufacturing is essential.
• Relevant Health & Safety/EHS qualification.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 45001 and experience with EHS management systems.
• Proven ability to influence, coach and challenge operational managers around safety.
• Experience driving safety culture and increasing line-management ownership of H&S.
• Experience in incident investigation, risk assessment, auditing and corrective actions.
• Previous leadership experience.
• Facilities experience within a manufacturing environment would be highly beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve the site's EHS management system and ISO 45001 standards.
• Drive a strong safety culture across the manufacturing operation.
• Coach and influence Production and Operations managers to take ownership of safety within their areas.
• Lead risk assessments, incident investigations, audits and corrective actions.
• Support ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 Environmental and Energy Management Systems.
• Lead the EHS, Environmental and Facilities team.
• Oversee site Facilities, supported by an experienced Facilities Technician.
• Work closely with Production, Engineering and Quality on operational improvements and change.

An established manufacturing company in Westmeath is looking to recruit an EHS & Facilities Manager. Reporting to the General Manager, you will have responsibility for EHS and Facilities across two manufacturing plants and a warehouse.

While this is a combined role, EHS is the key focus, particularly driving safety culture and increasing ownership of Health & Safety across Production and Operations.
