Job summary

Fastnet seeks an EHS Lead in Limerick to oversee construction-site safety at a pharmaceutical manufacturing site. The role ensures compliance with site procedures and applicable legislation while coordinating with project teams and contractors.

The candidate should hold an Occupational Health & Safety qualification (PSCS/PSDP preferred), possess current First Aid certification, and demonstrate strong communication skills to lead safety efforts on site.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline.
• PSCS/PSDP qualification is a must.
• Current First Aid certification.
• Experience supporting construction or engineering projects, ideally within pharmaceutical or industrial environments.
• Strong communication skills with the confidence to lead on-site safety matters.

Responsibilities

• Provide EHS support across construction activities.
• Monitor contractor activities and ensure compliance with site safety procedures.
• Conduct routine site inspections and safety observations.
• Promote a strong safety culture and intervene where unsafe acts or conditions are identified.
• Ensure permits, risk assessments and method statements are followed.
• Liaise with project teams, contractors and client representatives to maintain safe project delivery.
