Job summary

Suir Engineering is seeking an EHS Advisor to join a Substation Project near Ashbourne, Co. Meath. You will support the Senior Health & Safety advisor to ensure on-site safety compliance and IMS implementation.

You will help develop site-specific EHS plans, conduct safety audits, assist with risk assessments, SOPs and toolbox talks, and promote the Suir Way safety culture across the team. International project opportunities are available.

Qualifications

  • Relevant Health and Safety Diploma or Degree.
  • Minimum 1 year of Environmental Health and Safety experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Health & Safety advisor in ensuring Health & Safety compliance on site.
  • Work with the Project Manager and Construction Team on IMS implementation.
  • Ensure the site is set up and a Site-Specific Construction EHS Plan is complete.
  • Assist with site Safety Audits and report findings.
  • Assist with the development of Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
  • Assist with SOPs and provide training and communication to site personnel.
  • Communicate Safety Alerts through Toolbox Talks.
  • Promote the Suir Way and interfaces with Health & Safety.
  • Report and investigate incidents, identify root causes and corrective actions.
  • Ensure statutory forms and inspections are completed and recorded on time.
  • Promote a positive safety culture on site.

We have an exciting opportunity for a EHS Advisor to join Suir Engineering and work on a Substation Project close to Ashbourne, Co. Meath, construction of a 110 kV substation and grid connection for a Solar Farm project. What you will be doing?
  • Support the Senior Health & Safety advisor in ensuring Health & Safety compliance on site
  • Work effectively with the Project Manager and Construction Team with the implementation of the Integrated Management System
  • Ensure the site is adequately set up and a Site-Specific Construction EHS Plan is complete.
  • Assist with site Safety Audits and complete a report on same
  • Assist with the development of Risk Assessment & Method Statements
  • Assist with the development of SOP’s and provide training and communication to site personnel.
  • Communicate Safety Alerts through Toolbox Talk on a scheduled basis.
  • Become familiar with and promote the ‘Suir Way’ and its interfaces with Health & Safety.
  • Report and Investigate incidents when they occur and ensure root causes are identified, mitigated, and communicated.
  • Ensure statutory forms and inspections are complete and recorded in a timely fashion.
  • Promoting a good safety culture on site

  • Suitable Candidates must have Relevant Health and Safety Diploma / Degree and Minimum of 1 years’ experience in Environmental Health and Safety role.
