Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join the Routing Dataplane team in Dublin, Ireland. You will design and build high-performance networking systems that operate at global scale, delivering content with ultra-low latency and strong security guarantees.

You will own dataplane components including layer 4 packet processing, TCP/IP stack enhancements, DDoS detection and mitigation, and Anycast-based routing.

Qualifications

• Experience in professional software development.
• Experience designing or architecting reliable and scalable systems.
• Experience programming with at least one programming language.

Responsibilities

• Design and build high-performance networking systems for the CloudFront edge network.
• Develop and optimize layer 4 packet processing for low latency and high throughput.
• Enhance TCP/IP stack behavior for performance and resilience at scale.
• Build systems for real-time DDoS detection and traffic shaping.
• Design and evolve Anycast routing strategies for global traffic distribution.
