The eCommerce & Website Assistant will support the day-to-day running of QTP's websites and customer portal. This entry level role would be suitable for someone with a basic understanding of websites, eCommerce, SEO and digital systems. The successful candidate will assist with product uploads, website content updates, customer account management, login issues, basic SEO tasks, API-related administration, and digital support activities. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
Website & Product Administration
- Add and update products, images and information on the website.
- Assist with website content updates, product pages and promotional campaigns.
- Check product data for accuracy and completeness.
- Report website issues and help follow up with internal teams or external support providers.
- Help maintain a consistent look and feel across websites.
Customer Portal & Account Support
- Assist customers with login and account access issues.
- Create and manage customer portal accounts, permissions and basic account settings.
- Support customers with website navigation and online ordering queries.
- Escalate technical issues when required.
- Help improve customer adoption of the online portal.
SEO & Website Maintenance
- Update page titles, meta descriptions and image alt tags.
- Assist with basic SEO tasks and content optimisation.
- Monitor website links and report errors or missing information.
- Help improve website visibility in search engines.
- Support ongoing website improvement projects.
Digital Systems & API Support
- Assist with customer API requests and setup administration.
- Help test website updates, customer portal changes and new features.
- Support data checks involving HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON and TXT files.
- Work with IT, Sales, Customer Service and external partners when needed.
- Maintain records of website, customer login and API-related requests.
Reporting & Administration
- Monitor basic website performance metrics.
- Assist with compiling reports from Google Analytics, Search Console or other tools.
- Track customer enquiries and support requests.
- Maintain simple documentation and process guides.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Essential
- Basic understanding of websites and eCommerce.
- Good computer skills and confidence using online systems.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Organised and able to manage multiple tasks.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON and TXT file formats.
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot simple website, content and data issues.

- Experience using a CMS or eCommerce platform.
- Knowledge of Excel.
- Experience in customer service or administration.
- Exposure to APIs, website integrations or data imports.
- Experience working with Google Analytics or Google Search Console.
