Job summary

Northside Family Resource Centre is seeking warm, enthusiastic Early Years Workers to join our team. We provide care and education for children aged 0–6 in a community setting, with a focus on inclusion and high-quality practice.

Join a collaborative team that values professional growth, training, and family‑friendly working arrangements. Roles include both part-time and full-time options, with pro-rata adjustments for hours worked.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children aged 0–6 (including placements).
• Minimum QQI Level 5 in Early Learning & Care (or equivalent).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to relate to young children in playful, nurturing interactions.
• Patient, kind, and attuned to children’s needs.
• Flexibility regarding working hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care, supervision, and developmental support for children aged 0–6.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate activities and programmes.
• Use the Aistear and Síolta frameworks to guide practice.
• Build positive relationships with parents and families.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised learning environment.
• Follow all childcare policies including Child Protection.
