Job summary

Fatima Children’s Day Care in Ireland is seeking a childcare practitioner for a full-time role. The position involves implementing the curriculum, maintaining records, and upholding health and safety standards within a busy creche environment.

The team values attendance at staff meetings and ongoing training, with a commitment to resident families and quality early years care. The role is in person with a 9am–5pm schedule and €16.00 per hour pay.

Qualifications

• Minimum QQI Level 5 in Early Childhood Care and Education or QQI Level 6.
• Implement the curriculum and routine within the Centre in line with current frameworks.
• Full knowledge of current childcare legislation.
• Promote health, safety and hygiene standards.
• Respect all parents, children and families.

Responsibilities

• Fill in and maintain the appropriate records.
• Attend all meetings and training as required (staff meetings, team development).
• Follow organizational policies and procedures for childcare practice.

Fatima Children’s Day Care is one of the core projects provided by the Family Resource Centre which is managed by Fatima Groups United. The creche serves families in Fatima / Herberton and the surrounding community.

• Up to 40 hours per week
• A minimum of QQI Level 6 or minimum QQI level 5 in Early Childhood Care and Education
• Proficient knowledge in child development theories and practices
• Implement the curriculum and routine within the Centre in line with current and updated frameworks
• To fill in and maintain the appropriate records.
• To attend all meetings and training as required eg staff meetings, team development.
• Full knowledge and awareness of relevant and current childcare legislation
• Capacity to implement childcare practice in line with organizational policies and procedures.
• To promote good health, safety and hygiene standards within the crèche and to follow all policies and procedures when dealing with same
• Respect all parents, children and families.
