Job summary

Kids Inc. is hiring an Early Years Educator (AIM Support) at Foley Street, Dublin 1. You will join our Early Years team to support inclusion and participation within the ECCE programme, helping children engage in curriculum and daily routines through play-based activities.

Role focuses on promoting independence, confidence, and development, with a 30-hour per week schedule on a fixed-term contract until August 2027.

Responsibilities

  • Support children to participate fully in the ECCE programme and daily routines.

  • Support children's learning and development through play-based experiences.
  • Support children's development across physical, emotional, social, cognitive and language areas.
  • Create a safe, inclusive and engaging environment for all children.
  • Observe children's interests and development to tailor activities.

We are currently seeking a qualified Early Years Educator (AIM Support) to join our team in Foley Street, working 30 hours per week on a fixed-term contract until August 2027.

About The Role

As an Early Years Educator (AIM Support), you will work as part of our Early Years team to support the inclusion and participation of children within the ECCE programme.

You will provide additional support to help children participate fully in the curriculum, daily routines, activities, and social experiences within the setting, while promoting their independence, confidence, and overall development.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Supporting children to participate fully in the ECCE programme and daily routines
  • Providing additional support to promote children's inclusion, independence, and engagement
  • Supporting children's learning and development through play-based experiences
  • Supporting children's physical, emotional, social, cognitive, and language development
  • Creating a safe, caring, inclusive, and engaging environment for all children
  • Observing children's interests, development, and individual support needs
  • Working closely with Early Years Educators to adapt activities and routines where required
  • Supporting children during meals, transitions, play, and other daily routines
  • Building positive relationships with children, parents, guardians, and colleagues
  • Maintaining accurate observations and records in line with programme requirements
  • Ensuring a clean, safe, and well-organised environment in accordance with company policies and relevant regulations
Essential Requirements
  • QQI Level 5 in Early Childhood Care and Education, or a qualification recognised by the DCEDIY
  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • A positive, patient, and supportive approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine passion for working with young children and promoting inclusion
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • A reliable and professional attitude
  • Willingness to learn, develop, and contribute to a positive workplace culture
Desirable Skills
  • Previous experience working in a Creche or Early Years setting
  • Previous experience supporting children with additional needs
  • Knowledge or experience of the Access and Inclusion Model (AIM)
  • First Aid training
  • Manual Handling training
  • Food Safety training
